  1. Day 1 ANCHORAGE

    The Adventure Begins

    Upon arrival in Anchorage, meet your private driver guide for a transfer to your hotel.

    Enjoy time on your own to explore the town of Anchorage, a hub for incredible natural beauty and Alaskan culture. Anchorage is home to some of the best Alaska has to offer in terms of both artistry and attractions. Spot the iconic antlered moose that calls the area home, either in the natural wilderness or the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Learn about the state’s Indigenous culture with a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Commune with nature and immerse yourself in the picturesque charm of Chugach State Park. The day is yours to make your way through the downtown core or adventure to one of the scenic surrounds.

  2. Day 2 ANCHORAGE

    Lose Yourself in Nature

    Explore the scenic Seward Highway accompanied by your private driver-guide in a full-day exploration of the Turnagain Arm waterway. After meeting at your Anchorage hotel, your knowledgeable local driver-guide will whisk you away along one of only 13 highways in the US with the unique distinction of ”All American Road”. Along the way, you’ll enjoy great opportunities to view and photograph diverse wildlife and stunning scenic vistas. You’ll first stop at the ski town of Girdwood to ride a scenic tram that travels to the top of Mt Alyeska. The next stop is Portage, where you can board the MV Ptarmigan for an optional one-hour cruise across the stunning scenery of iceberg-dotted Portage Lake. After the cruise, stop in at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife. The AWCC takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round, providing spacious enclosures and quality animal care. Here you can experience an up-close encounter with some of the state’s most iconic inhabitants, providing great photo opportunities. Although the animals at the AWCC are unable to be released back into the wild, they are rehabilitated and cared for by a team of dedicated staff. Your tour concludes with a private transfer back to Anchorage.

  3. Day 3 ANCHORAGE TO DENALI NATIONAL PARK

    A Dazzling Drive

    Pick up your rental car to explore the beautiful expanse of Alaska. A standard SUV (or similar) has been reserved in your name. For upgrade options, please speak to your Destination Expert.

    Set out to begin your incredible Alaskan self-drive adventure. About an hour out of Anchorage, stop and explore Eagle River Nature Reserve, a gateway to Chugach State Park, and a glacial river valley as wild and dramatic as any in Alaska. Another hour down the road, take a right where the wooden grizzly stands on its hind legs, indicating the way to the town of Talkeetna, famous for its most recent mayor Stubbs the Cat. Continue your drive for approximately another 2.5 hours to reach your final destination of the day the spectacular Denali National Park, one of the most awe-inspiring sights in Alaska. With towering granite spires, snowy summits, and an abundance of wildlife roaming free in their natural habitat, exploring this natural wonderland is sure to be a highlight to remember.

  4. Day 4 DENALI NATIONAL PARK

    Venture into the Outdoors

    Enjoy access to Denali National Park and Preserve, a dynamic landscape of wild tundra, iconic mountain peaks, and diverse wildlife.

    Situated just outside Denali National Park, this Nenana River rafting adventure takes you through class II and class III rapids in between stretches of calm water. This glacial-fed river is one of the most popular locations for rafting in Alaska and sprawls across 140 miles. Challenge the icy waters of the Nenana in an excursion ideal for both rafting experts and those with no rafting experience. Immerse yourself in the sweeping beauty of riverside scenery, staying alert for potential sightings of moose and Dall sheep amid unspoiled nature. Transportation to and from the launch area will be provided on the way to or from Denali in a private van.

  5. Day 5 DENALI NATIONAL PARK TO FAIRBANKS

    The Journey Continues…

    Once on the road again, depart beautiful Denali National Park and make your way to Fairbanks. Journey along the northernmost section of the Parks Highway, transporting you through small towns and stretches of wilderness. Coast alongside the Tanana River and past the Minto Flats, a valuable waterfowl habitat. This route takes you through charming small towns, including Healy, once home to Alaska’s sole commercial coal mine. This drive will take approximately 2.5 hours, offering plenty of picturesque sights along the way.

    Located in the famed Cleary Summit area, Aurora Borealis Lodge offers the one-of-a-kind experience to watch the dazzling Aurora Borealis. The lodge is safely nestled away from the light pollution of Fairbanks, sitting above the ice fog that can form during deep cold nights. From high on a ridge, experience unobstructed views of the vast northern skies. The lodge’s large north-facing windows offer optimal viewing conditions. Much of the road meanders through Chena River State Recreation Area where you can camp, fish, float, and hike. Springs Road dead-ends at Chena Hot Springs Resort, a world-class hot spring renowned for its outstanding outdoor rock lake, year-round ice museum, and excellent northern lights viewing opportunities.
